If you haven’t heard, some of the early model Audi R8’s had an issue where the actual frame of the car would crack around the front strut/suspension area. Well, I happen to own a 2009 Audi R8 V8 with a Stasis Supercharger and a host of other modifications. After watching a few videos on Youtube showing this actual issue, the thought came to me that I had never physically looked at my frame!
Well, time for that to change! Overall, the process is not difficult. There are a few plastic panels that you have to remove, beyond that, it’s fairly seemless. The only tools, or “tool” you’ll need is a flat head screw driver. Keep in mind, the plastic piece closest to the windshield does need to be removed if you want a clear view of the frame, however it isn’t necessary. If you do want to remove that plastic piece, you’ll need to pull the windshield wiper arms which will require a puller.
